Proclaimed as a catalytic project by the eThekwini Municipality and supported by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Ntshongweni is a place that will develop organically to meet the needs of its residents, neighbours and the region as a whole. The overall development vision and framework plan of Ntshongweni integrates the development opportunities with what already exists in the area. Led by Tongaat Hulett Property, individual projects within Ntshongweni will be undertaken by independent developers who will be guided by a big picture vision for the area, which is anticipated to take approximately 15 to 20 years to complete.
