Enhancing the urban fabric
Ntshongweni Urban Development is a pioneering new undertaking in KwaZulu-Natal, covering over 2 000 hectares. The mixed-use concept will reshape and revitalise Durban’s Outer West by creating an entirely new economic hub in the area.
In Ntshongweni, we’re building a new kind of city, serving the needs of the community and connecting people to business, nature, adventure and each other.
Ultimately, a bustling town centre will be found here, complemented by significant residential, commercial, logistics and recreational components. To unlock development and opportunity at Ntshongweni, the first development here will be the Ntshongweni Regional Shopping Centre, which will service the existing community in the area and catalyse the new urban hub.
Framework Plan
A connected regional retail concept

A new regional shopping centre will form an integrated central core, connecting the retail component of the development to the surrounding community. Inspired by its natural surroundings, the retail core will become a modern day city centre and a unique lifestyle destination. The lines between indoor and outdoor spaces are blurred in this approach, linking the development seamlessly with the urban fabric. As a result, the regional shopping centre becomes a positive element connecting the community, creating a symbiotic relationship with its surrounding context.
